E-readers – new project; with library, purchased iPads, Kindles, Nooks, people can check them out to use; in about a year will make determination which is most effective (most popular?) – so we know what to support (?)

Emergency broadcasting system – blast updates to students, faculty and staff – email, voice mail, etc. – users can choose how they want to receive notifications (including FB, Twitter, etc)
Terminal services - PCs for labs – ―dumb terminals‖ – PCs for all labs
Disaster (?) Recovery –
Outsourcing student email – Microsoft Live (.edu) – OSU already uses (Columbus) – push student email accounts so that provider manages, maintains email accounts.

OSU Admissions & Advising: Ann Donahue
o Two new staff members – Ann Schuster, Educ. Advisor; Stephanie Weaver now at front desk;
o Enrollment: not officially announced from Columbus – we will have record-breaking enrollment (was 2515 last year) between that and 2600 this year; (subsequently has been released as 2562).
o Already recruiting for the class of 2011.
o Dr. MacDonald has charged a retention committee. They are planning a retention retreat for Friday, December 10. If you wish to attend, contact Dr. Sanders, who is the chair of the committee.

o Kendra Linkous– Testing Center – Brandy Morehouse – 10 yrs on campus; started as student tutor; now professional staff; shared between tutoring & testing (halftime each);
